Something to Smile about

Gray School operates a Family Centre on-site, catering to families in the Gray and greater Palmerston area. Additionally, they have an off-site Palmerston Child and Family Centre that provides wrap-around support for the targeted Young Mums Strong Mums group and also caters to children between the ages of 0 to 4 years. The Gray Family Centre is a space where parents can attend playgroups, meet other parents, attend parent classes, and build relationships with the school. The Palmerston Child and Family Centre runs a Families as First Teachers (FaFT) program and a Young Mums Strong Mums group, which caters to 15-25-year-old girls who have recently had a baby and would like to complete a cert 2 or 3 in Community Service.
Gray is a low socio-economic area of Palmerston, and the increasing cost of inflation is starting to impact families, making it difficult for them to pay for essentials. Providing free baby clothes and personal items through Good360 is a blessing for the parents and is well-received by the parent groups.
Here are some quotes from the parents who have received the items:
- "Oh wow, this is free? Like no cost? I haven't been able to buy anything new for ages; I've relied on his sibling hand-me-downs and friend donations pretty much since he was born. Thank you so much!" - Parent 1.
- "This is so cool, how awesome" - Parent 2.
- "Wow, this is amazing! I love makeup, and I wouldn't be able to splurge on this much. Thank you." - Parent 3.
