Taking Big W to Rural/Remote Schools in NSW

In 2024, Big W Charlestown participated in the LOCAL STORE DONATION PROGRAM run by Good360. The program aimed at donating assorted items to various organizations, and The Backpack Venture was one of the organizations that received the donation. The Backpack Venture is thrilled to have received three and a half pallets of various items that will be given out to families in November 2024. The donation includes one pallet of Christmas decorations and gifts/toys for children, teachers, and families. The items donated also include brand-new clothing, shoes, toys, and even a new bike. This donation is particularly important because families in small communities often find it challenging to purchase things when there is no local BIGW store nearby. Hence, this year, The Backpack Venture will bring Big W to them.
We wish to extend our thanks to the team at Big W Charlestown for their exceptional generosity in donating these items through our wonderful friends at Good360. We are excited to share photos of all the decorated classrooms and happy faces of the children, teachers, and families who will benefit from this donation.
