Official Launch was Bricktastic

What an inspiring event, made possible only through the generous contributions of Good360, LEGO, and Tas Freight. Without the support of these entities, Cygnet Bricks would not exist. Rural kids in Tasmania often miss out on opportunities that their peers in bigger towns enjoy, simply because they cannot travel to these towns. For the youth benefitting from our group, a trip to Hobart takes a minimum of 2 1/2 hours, plus event time and parking. The launch of Cygnet Bricks was the first of its kind in Cygnet, bringing exhibitions that are usually only seen in bigger towns, LEGO for the young people to delight in and take home, and access to an inclusive event that accommodated all socioeconomic backgrounds. The kids were occupied for hours with LEGO building and being in awe of the creations of Tassie Brick Enthusiasts. Without the discounted freight and the LEGO donation, this event would never have occurred in a town that is experiencing drought and economic disparity.

Clare, a mother of two children, said, "It's exciting and inspirational that LEGOLAND has been brought to Cygnet."

Lewin, aged 11, said, "I get to do things I normally wouldn't do," as he came bursting in, as he does every week."
