Acknowledgement of a decade of research participation

Isla has been a participant in the national ENDIA Study for 10 years, since she was born. The ENDIA Study aims to determine the causes of type 1 diabetes (T1D) in children who are at higher risk of developing the condition due to their genetic makeup. Isla's mother, father, or sibling live with T1D, which makes her more susceptible to the disease. You can find more information about the study on www.endia.org.au.
Every 3-6 months, Isla and her mother have visited an ENDIA nurse to provide blood samples, swabs, stool, and urine. They have also answered various questions about their diet and lifestyle. They have been to around 24 study visits, and all the tests and procedures they have undergone deserve recognition. That is why children like Isla deserve at least some LEGO and a medal to appreciate their contribution to the research on type 1 diabetes.
We want to thank Isla for her ten years of participation in the study. Her efforts have brought us closer to finding a cure for T1D. So, Isla, thank you very much for your dedication. You have earned this LEGO box.
We acknowledge the kind support from Good360 and LEGO Australia
