Shades of Gratitude for our Colour Explosion Sunglass protection!!

Hilltop Rd Public School, located in Merrylands is very proud of our growing and very diverse Multicultural community among our families. We aim to celebrate as many Cultural experiences in numerous ways, that we can each year. Which include, Breakfast celebrations, luncheons, learning experiences, religious events, well-being adventures, fundraisers, community events and educational events.
One of our favourites is the Colour Run inspired by the Hindu festival of Holi. All students arrive at school in white shirts & we sprinkle, spray & squirt colour powder at their clothing as they move around the sports oval.
This event encourages fun with fitness, laughter and well-being. We always insist on safety first and they were so happy when we arrived with 20 boxes of bright, plastic funky sunglasses to protect their eyes.
Children from all walks of life, ages 5yrs - 12yrs skipping, laughing, holding hands & giggling away while all wearing their trendy new sunglasses.
What a fabulous surprise it was for them to receive a gift and for many of our students it was their first time to own their pair of sunglasses. This gift will encourage sun safety all through their childhood and protect them on those hot glary summer days.
This was a gift that gave memories to last a lifetime.
