Gumboots for Gaza Refugees

These gumboots were given out to refugees from Gaza. Palestinian refugees have arrived in Australia with limited personal belongings. The traumatic experiences of having to relocate many times in Gaza to escape violence, and then to flee to Australia, resulted in families only transporting items that they could carry. As a result, many Gaza refugees have come to Australia with extremely limited personal belongings. These gumboots, workboats and rain clothing have gone a long way in brightening the lives of individuals and families who have experienced significant trauma and hardship. Many of the Palestinian refugees who have received these items stated that they could not believe the quality of the items and that these new items were for them. It is these items, and donations that became a symbol of welcoming and solidarity. They have helped to generate hope and resilience in a time of stress and trauma for these individuals and families. The individuals and families who received these items were so happy to be cared for thanks to Good360 and its product donors.
