LEGO Brixpo Extravaganza @ The City of Playford.

The City of Playford hosts several community centres, including The John McVeity Centre and The Precinct. These centres offer a range of community-focused activities and programs designed to enhance social and mental wellbeing. Located in a low socioeconomic area, many families in our community struggle with the high cost of living, making it difficult to afford non-essential items like LEGO. We aim to create opportunities for social connection, thereby reducing isolation and exclusion among community members and improving overall well-being.
In the April School Holidays, we held two LEGO Brixpo Extravaganza events for school-aged children 5-12 years old in our community.
We held the event with the assistance of Bricks4Kidz and the children spent 2 hours immersed in LEGO building a gigantic LEGO City that included huge buildings and some cool mechanical vehicles.
The children worked in groups to build the city, learnt new skills and built some social connections while attending the event.
Each child that attended the session was surprised with a LEGO kit to keep and make their school holidays a little extra LEGOtastic!
We received some wonderful feedback from parents that allowed us an insight into the impact that receiving the kits made on their well-being.
Thank you Good360 and LEGO for your awesome donation
