I Did It!

The LEGO we purchased from Good360 is used as a reward for our students who follow the behaviour expectations and values of our school. The values of Courage, Kindness, Persistence, Responsibility and Respect guide our decisions and our behaviours. We aim for all students regardless of their academic ability, to be able to receive a reward. This makes the system equitable. We find that LEGO also brings siblings together, with older siblings choosing a theme of LEGO that a younger sibling would prefer rather than for themselves. The children can work with their siblings to build their pieces, as well as engage with their parents. Many of our students enter school with low language levels, parents need prompting to engage in a meaningful way with their children. The finished product is something to be proud of, as you can see from our photo!
