The Digital Empowerment Initiative for Vietnamese women is a pilot program designed to provide tailored support to improve digital access, affordability and enhanced digital literacy and skills. Thirteen women from Fairfield in South West Sydney took part in the program receiving a laptop and Optus Sims from the Donate Your Data program courtesy of Good360 after completing the 4 week course. As a result of this program, participants reported increased literacy, skills and confidence in using digital technology and navigating the online environment.
“Being a part of this program has opened our eyes to a different world - one which we have been living behind for a long time. Having access to my own laptop and data package was valuable because it would provide me with a better internet connection, and I don’t need to book and travel to the library to use the computer and internet”
We are grateful to Good360 and its sponsors for their generous donation
