Bridging the Digital Divide

A big thank you to Wenty Leagues for funding the project. The generous donation from Good360 will have a profound impact on the lives of our refugees and families seeking asylum clients, many of whom have experienced domestic violence. Access to technology and the internet is a critical need that many individuals and families cannot afford, despite being essential for self-determination and independence.
Along with these laptops being provided to families, these laptops will be utilised in the long-awaited computer library that we will have at House of Welcome. This library will support our housing and employment programs, where clients can receive assistance with resume writing and housing applications.
Our clients and their families are navigating complex systems to rebuild their lives in a new country. These laptops, internet access and sim cards will enable them to access educational resources, communicate with support services, engage with their communities, and maintain important connections with loved ones, which are crucial for their well-being. By bridging the digital divide, we can empower our clients to overcome the barriers they face.
