From Crisis to Confidence

At just 16 years old, Mandy* faced a terrifying reality. Escaping a situation of severe domestic and family violence, she found herself in need of not only physical safety but also emotional and practical support. Her journey brought her to Peggy’s Place, where our mission to nurture and empower those in crisis truly took shape.
Understanding the critical role of self-esteem and preparation in overcoming adversity, we knew that helping Mandy secure appropriate clothing was more than just a practical need—it was a crucial step towards rebuilding her confidence. Thanks to our partnership with Good360, we were able to provide Mandy with the clothing she needed to dress professionally for her first job interview.
The difference was remarkable. As Mandy stood in her new attire, the boost in her confidence was palpable. She walked into her interview with a renewed sense of self-worth and hope for the future. This support not only assisted her in making a positive impression but also contributed significantly to her self-esteem.
At Peggy’s Place, we provide every child arriving at our organization with a new set of LEGO as a welcome gift. This small but thoughtful gesture helps ease their transition from their familiar home to a new environment, offering a sense of comfort and normalcy during a challenging time.
Thank you again to Good360 and its product sponsors
