Wyndham CEC retrieved a shipment of irons and children's clothing from the Big W warehouse in Hoppers Crossing. These items are currently being distributed to our most disadvantaged clients and students.
We have initiated a Karen weaving project where older volunteers are instructing community members in the traditional art of weaving on wooden looms. We provided each of these volunteers with an iron since they do not have one at home. In addition, we operate a sewing program, and irons have been donated to facilitate the students in pressing their work as they progress.
The children's clothing is always available for clients whenever they come in.
We would also like to express our gratitude to Good360 for facilitating this donation. Thank you
