During this year’s Gold Coast Connect2Home event, Vinnies we received an incredible donation from Good360—personal hygiene products, including essential items for children. These donations were crucial to the event's success, which took place during Homelessness Week, a time dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for an end to homelessness across Australia.
Good360's donation included a wide range of hygiene products like toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, and skin remedy tablets for both adults and children. These items, often taken for granted, became a beacon of hope for those facing the challenges of homelessness.
The products were distributed to over 1,200 individuals at the event, including people struggling to pay bills, or living in their cars. The event also provided essentials like meals and groceries, while connecting attendees to ongoing support services. This year's event was particularly significant, as it highlighted the growing struggles many in our community face due to the rising cost of living.
Impact: The donations restored dignity and self-respect for many, particularly parents who were grateful for the children’s hygiene products. These items alleviated daily struggles, allowing individuals to focus on critical aspects of their lives like securing housing or employment.
Good360’s support was instrumental in renewing hope and motivation, helping us make strides in our mission to end homelessness.
