The Digital Empowerment Initiative for Arabic women is a pilot program designed to provide tailored support to improve digital access, affordability and enhanced digital literacy and skills. Twelve women from Fairfield in South West Sydney took part in the program receiving a laptop and Optus Sims from the Donate Your Data program courtesy of Good360 after completing the 6 week course in partnership with TAFE NSW, Wetherill Park. As a result of this program, participants reported increased literacy, skills and confidence in using digital technology and navigating the online environment.
“(I can now) search for the course at TAFE. The teacher taught us how to use Microsoft Word. This will help me to create a resume so I can apply for jobs.”
We are grateful to Good360 and its sponsors for their generous donations.
