We Love Kevin!

Our very small, rural primary school was extremely fortunate to receive a carton of "Kevin the Koala", Kevin is a soft, cuddly, weighted toy that calms distressed kids and provides something to hold, something that's reassuring and a distraction when things get tough. Since our delivery we often hear "Let's get Kevin" and he is quickly found and delivered to a child in need. It has been surprising how often Kevin has been used in recent weeks. Students with complex needs will benefit from Kevin as well as students experiencing life's more difficult times. The photo shows Kevin in use. The child is tightly cuddling Kevin while another Kevin watches on and the teacher can chat with a much calmer student.
