Thank you to Good360 and LEGO Australia for your generous support in providing LEGO sets for our students. We launched Lansvale’s LEGO Club, and it was a tremendous success!
The induction at our newly established LEGO Club headquarters, the Creation Station, was met with excitement and enthusiasm from students and staff. The club’s focus on PROUD expectations and structured learning intentions has already begun to positively impact our students’ social and emotional development.
Through weekly sessions, our students have the opportunity to hone a variety of essential skills, including creativity, collaboration, verbal and non-verbal communication, attentiveness, sharing and turn-taking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. These sessions are not only fostering a love for learning but also promoting teamwork and respect among peers.
During the first session, students were organized into groups and challenged to create something unique using LEGO within a set time frame. The results were fantastic! The students eagerly shared their creations, explaining their ideas while practicing attentive listening and respectful interaction with their teammates. It was inspiring to witness the joy and pride on their faces as they presented their work.
We are excited to continue this journey and look forward to the next LEGO Club session this week. Your support has truly been a cornerstone in making this possible. Thank you once again for helping us build brighter futures!
