Optus SIM cards travel to Peak Hill

Once a year Youth Up Front (Northern Beaches Business Education Network Inc) travel to Peak Hill Central School, Peak Hill, to visit the students and staff to facilitate a day of programming with the kids. Our programs on the day cover topics such as: Teamwork and Sport, Critical Thinking & Problem Solving, Growth Mindset and Financial Literacy. Peak Hill Central School serves a rural community of approximately 1400 people in the Central West of NSW and is the hub school for the Western Access Program which delivers senior school programs to students in 6 other smaller central schools, using video conference technology.

The Optus Impact SIM Cards were given to students to provide them access to free call, text and data services which they often go without due to the rising cost of living. The Optus SIM cards will help students access much needed services, such as educational, medical, emergency, employment, friends and family. The SIM cards provide a gateway to connection for the students and their families, which is imperative for their mental health, safety as well as their wellbeing. Being remotely located these cards allow them to feel connected to the greater community. Needless to say, they were greatly received!

Thank you Good360 and Optus for helping us reward these students.
