Tarakan Fun Day

On the 31st of August, the residents of Uniting’s Community Housing property in Heidelberg came together for the Tarakan Fun Day, a resident-led initiative. The event, designed to create connection and community spirit, featured a LEGO workshop for children—a highlight made possible by a generous donation of LEGO from Good360.
Over 40 residents, including many children, participated in the day’s activities. Each child was thrilled to receive a box of LEGO to take home, with more than 40 boxes distributed. Families living in community housing can have limited access to toys like LEGO due to financial challenges. There was excitement on the children’s faces and smiles all around as they played.
This donation sparked excitement among the younger residents and encouraged a strong turnout. It helped create a sense of connection among neighbours, building relationships and creating a positive atmosphere within the community. The Tarakan Fun Day was more than just a fun-filled afternoon; it was a reminder of the power of community and the joy that simple acts of generosity can bring.
Thank you Good360 and LEGO for helping to make this day possible.
