Bringing a smile to children & young people

YWCA Children and Young People received a generous donation of assorted girls’ accessories. Many of our clients are recovering from difficult circumstances with their mothers, and receiving assorted hair accessories has a transformative impact on their self-esteem and emotional well-being. These vibrant and varied accessories, from colourful clips to stylish headbands, offer the girls a chance to express their individuality and creativity tangibly. For many, these small but meaningful items become tools of empowerment, allowing them to experiment with their appearance and rediscover a sense of joy and confidence. As they adorn themselves with these accessories, the girls not only feel more connected to their own identity but also experience a boost in self-worth and personal expression. This simple act of receiving thoughtful gifts helps them rebuild their sense of normalcy and self-esteem, fostering a more positive outlook as they continue their journey toward healing and stability.
