A New Beginning

Everything you see in this room has been generously donated by IKEA. Stepping Stone House is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be selected for this Dropship donation.
This is a completely new room set up for a young person to enjoy. This is one of four bedrooms that are used to support young people who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness. These are some of Australia's most at-risk youth. This bedroom is currently vacant, however we are receiving referrals to fill this room asap. The impact this donation has had on our service is that we are now able to offer a young person, who has never had their own room before, an incredibly well-equipped and aesthetically pleasing space for themself. Before this donation, we would have had to delay this process, as the room was nonfunctional. It still would not be as well equipped as the room you see here, this is a space I know that a young person will feel safe, they will feel special and they will feel at home.
