A big thank you to Good360 and its amazing and generous supporters. Over the last few months we've been lucky enough to have received and given away cleaning supplies, LEGO, children's shoes, boys and girls accessories, Christmas accessories and pet toys.
All items have been gratefully received by members of the community and they're very appreciative.
We've given out some of the goods at our groups, Mother Nature and Me, Little Explorers Playgroup and Woman Can/Kids Can and also spread them far and wide at community events and to families in need due to financial hardship, illness and loss.
Also, two local schools received some LEGO, one being an alternate school for Young people at risk, they have set up a LEGO room where the young people go to deescalate and have some time away from class, this room has been very successful and creates a fun place for them to zone out for a while. The other school use LEGO for their year 6's and is used again as a calming tool, the children are allowed to have some time out and build LEGO, and once completed they display it proudly on their desks for a few days before packing it up to put away for other students. One particular student who is having a hard time at school and has medical challenges spent three days building the new Icon's of Play Lego set, this has helped him greatly, and he was very happy and proud of himself.
The pet toys were a hit in community also! There are many very happy dogs and cats running around with new toys.
