Students from across NSW & ACT participated in a 12-day residential program, to have a break from their current circumstances. Many participants were affected by natural disasters, economic hardship, or geographical isolation. A generous donation of LEGO from Good360 became a key part of this initiative, offering students a hands-on way to engage and express themselves.
As students arrived from areas like Moree, Broken Hill, Lismore, and Mt Druitt, they were immersed in an environment that emphasised the importance of being safe, kind, fair, and having a go. Throughout the program, students earned Hi Five Dollars for positive behaviours, which they used to shop for LEGO sets in a dedicated store.
The LEGO provided a creative outlet for these young people, allowing them to build projects that reflected their thoughts and feelings. Working together on these builds helped them forge new friendships and develop teamwork skills, giving them a much-needed sense of community.
By the end of the program, students walked away not only with LEGO sets but also with increased confidence and resilience. This initiative underscores community support's significant impact on young people facing adversity. The LEGO filled a shop, but more importantly, it helped build a brighter future for these students.
Thank you Good360 and LEGO Australia for your generous contribution to our program
