The Bridge, formerly Preston Neighbourhood House, runs a community support programs for people who are: on low incomes; are isolated; at home with young children; unemployed; from culturally diverse backgrounds; and, disabled. The aim is to provide children’s services, information, social support, food distribution and education.
Many of the gifts and personal hygiene products were used for volunteers and the participants of our free community lunch. Those that come to Laneway Lunches are some of our most marginalised and disadvantaged members of the Darebin community. They were overwhelmed with their gifts which we handed out to them at the Christmas celebration lunch that we put on for them. My staff volunteered their own time to produce and serve a traditional Christmas lunch for our community. Over 60 people attended and they all received gifts from the items so kindly received from Good 360.
