Thanking our 65 Roses Ambassadors

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a recessive genetic disease affecting children and adults in Australia. It causes thick, sticky mucus which affects the lungs and digestive system.

May is the national month of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) awareness in Australia. Friday 24 May is 65 Roses Day, a day where we paint Western Australia (WA) with beautiful fresh roses to raise funds and awareness for people living with CF in WA.

During this month we engage some of our young CF community members to become CFWA ambassadors. These ambassadors help to spread CF awareness with local and national media. They share their individual journeys and experiences dealing with Cystic Fibrosis which helps to bring CF awareness to the general public. The ambassadors also volunteer their time attending functions and helping with the preparation for 65 Roses Day.

Thanks to the amazing partnership with Good360, we are now able to provide a gift to each of our ambassadors to thank them for the wonderful work they do during the month of May. We have made up hampers full of wonderful gift items relevant to the age and sex of each ambassador. We can’t wait to hand them out on 65 Roses Day and spread some joy to these young people dealing with all the complexities of chronic disease and yet still willing to help others.
