Donation of clothing brings smiles to Mums and their families.

No clothing store in the local town means making do with what you have or an expensive trip over the border to the nearest large town if you need new or replacement items. COVID saw bank balances drop due to the closure of the local second-hand clothing store where many people purchased their everyday clothing. Travel to the major nearby town became more expensive eating into household budgets. Family members who worked, had less income to share due to time off work because of having COVID or burnout caring for those who were unwell.
The greatly appreciated donation of clothing for children and babies brought smiles to the Coomealla Health Aboriginal Corporation (CHAC) staff who distributed the items amongst young families in the Dareton district. Mums and children happily received the clothing while attending a social inclusion, health focused program at CHAC.
The donations have a welcomed ripple effect, spreading through the community that people care and are willing to help those in need. A massive thank you to Big W and Good360 for all that you do to make a difference to the lives of others and helping our community.
