Thank you to the lovely donors at Nike and the hair accessories company, Fr Elias could not stand by and do nothing, instead, he helped Heaven’s Joy volunteers to sort and distribute the Nike sandals equally to all churches. We received some cartons of sandals prepacked nicely in boxes, however, the rest had to be matched in pairs left and right by our volunteers, who were so cheerily working together with their priest.
Our youngest volunteer came straight after school and he helpfully packed up all the Nike sandals and hair accessories allocated to his Coptic church in Oakleigh.
