Building with LEGO

Here at Peggy’s Place Kids Club, we advocate play and believe that play is a child’s work, and we all work better when we enjoy what we are doing. Children have a natural ability to explore and discover new ways toys can be used. LEGO not only sparks their curiosity but also has many benefits for young children. We want children to holistically have a positive start in life, so we believe it’s important to provide them with enjoyable activities that also nurture brain development, improve eye/hand coordination, and get a child thinking and analyzing, as well as learning new skills. Many toys and activities are educational, and providing LEGO for children in our care is one such toy that offers numerous benefits for young children. Whilst children will play with the Lego that you have provided us, will facilitate the development of the basic building blocks of cognitive processing that are crucial for later acquired scholastic skills. Through play, children learn to represent things symbolically and start to understand the relations between objects and events. Symbolic representations are the basis of many educational skills, such as literacy, writing, spelling, and mathematics. Here at Peggy’s Place kids club, we want to promote learning from play and aid a child’s development. Furthermore, LEGO will impact children in a positive way and will allow children to explore, wonder and be creative through their imagination and play.
Thank you Good360 and LEGO.
