GRGWA (Grandparents Raising Grandchildren WA) is a peer-led, not-for-profit association driven by an unwavering dedication to supporting grand-carers – those exceptional grandparents who have taken on the profound responsibility of raising their grandchildren within their own homes.
Grandparent carers form a hidden demographic, often facing financial hardships and lacking convenient access to services and is the fastest growing type of out-of-home care for vulnerable children in Australia.
For grandparent carers, the realities are stark with 66% living below the poverty line.
For the grandchildren, the statistics reveal a challenging upbringing with over 50% grappling with high-needs mental health issues.
The items acquired through Good360's platform have made their way into the lives of grandchildren whose grandparents would otherwise find it financially unfeasible to procure these necessities.
