When you are experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, mental health issues or just struggling with the cost of living - reaching out for help can sometimes feel intimidating and overwhelming.
This is why the Thrive Together Fair held in Nowra is such a fantastic event. All the support services from the region are together under one roof. The atmosphere is fun and friendly and it makes finding support and information easy.
Some of the services available on the day included health checks and referrals to health appointments, government advice, legal advice, and education and employment assistance services. There was also free food, free haircuts, shower and laundry facilities, kids’ activities, and live entertainment.
Thanks to the generous donations from Good360 that included books, baby soothers and toddler cups, the team from BCR Communities was able to help out many young families at the Thrive Together Fair. For families doing it tough, having access to something as simple as a baby soother or being able to escape with a good book can make a big difference.
