Lithgow PCYC Bushfire Recovery Community Day

On Saturday 4th November Lithgow PCYC held a Community Picnic Day, as a Bushfire Recovery Day. We were so thrilled to be able to offer LEGO building workshops all day to our young people. Each child was able to select a LEGO set and build it with our staff and volunteers on site and then take it home with them. Children who have been impacted by the 2019-2020 bushfires, and subsequent flooding, COVID-19, and our gas crisis were able to interact with the PCYC team in valuable "side-by-side" time, in a safe environment. Many connections were made and children were able to make new friends and have a positive experience with our service and other services that attended on the day including police, Headspace, Ted Noff's Foundation, and Planet Youth.
We are very thankful to Good360 and LEGO for their kindness and goodwill
