LEGO - keeping our children entertained in hospital

Can you imagine staying in hospital for up to two weeks - several times a year? Now imagine you are a child. Imagine how bored you would get with an IV in your arm that stops you from running around much. That's the reality for many children who live with the chronic condition of Cystic Fibrosis. Sadly, there is no cure for CF. There have been some great advances in research that have provided some new drugs. However, not all patients can take them.
So "tune-ups" are the reality for many people with CF. This is where they are hospitalized for IV treatment and intensive physiotherapy in order to maintain good lung function.
With the holidays approaching it's likely that many more of our children will be having hospital stays now that school is out. So our CF social worker came and grabbed a huge bundle of the new LEGO we received from Good360 to distribute to the three CF clinics around Tasmania. We have items for all ages so that the children can pick their own.
Thank you Good360 for helping us to secure these items. They will be putting a smile on the faces of many of our children - as well as our Social Worker and allied health professionals.
