LEGO deliveries to assist Student Wellbeing

The Gladstone Men's Shed has assisted the Under 8's in the Gladstone region for 12 years now through our Early Childhood Services Project where all the early learning centres put in a request for whatever furniture and toys they require to be made in the shed at no charge to the recipient.
Now in conjunction with Good360, the Shed has delivered our initial shipment of LEGO kits to two separate schools, the Tannum Sands State School and Clinton State School, where the LEGO will be used to improve the engagement of some students in the education process.
It was gratifying to receive an instant response from the schools and the principal of the Tannum school, John Adie, took valuable time out of his morning to show us how the LEGO will be used at Tannum Sands and he said in closing "Thanks to the Gladstone Men's Shed for providing us with some valuable LEGO kits to add to our LEGO Club resources". The Student Wellbeing Teacher at the Clinton State School, Tracey Dunnett when told of the offer said "Yes please for the LEGO, I can use it as a project for my disengaged students".
The Gladstone Men's Shed is now of no doubt that by bringing goods together with Good360, we can make further distribution of LEGO to the many other early learning centres in the region during 2024 in conjunction with our very successful Early Childhood Services Project.
We are very grateful for the services of Good360. Thank you
