Unlocking Children's Imaginations

Earlier this term, our school received a delivery of LEGO from Good360. This LEGO has been distributed to our students to use as a stimulus for creative narrative writing and videos. Students like Ben who at times may find it challenging to engage in learning tasks, have responded positively to being able to create their own story prompt, using the LEGO instructions as a guide and then adding in their variations. This also fosters their creativity and ability to become more intrinsically motivated in their literacy. The best thing for Ben is that he can build his story prompt of a Shipplane and then take it home with his story and video to share with his family.
The impact that this has on our children's engagement in their learning has been of enormous benefit. Furthermore, they have been provided with the opportunity through Good360's generous donor to own their LEGO which in many cases has been unattainable to families in our school community.
