Lunchtime LEGO Club

Our beautiful little school is located in Bowraville, in the Nambucca Valley with a predominantly Indigenous enrolment. We have been a part of this community for over 100 years and throughout this time our Indigenous people have endured so much trauma.
St Marys is often seen as a safe haven, a place where students and families feel welcome and supported. At lunchtime, we offer a range of different activities for the students. One of them is LEGO Club which is becoming more and more popular. Some students are regular attenders, who love to create, explore and play. Others come and go as they please, often visiting to find a calm, relaxing activity and a quiet space. With the creation of these lunchtime activities, we have noticed fewer incidents in the yard, more friendships forming, and a calmer and more peaceful environment overall. We are very thankful to Good360 and LEGO for these donations.
