MiCare hit the road to deliver some well-deserved cheer to their Home Care client's this month.
Due to the COVID-19 stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne we found ourselves with many of our support workers needing to provide caring responsibilities at home. This has been a challenging time for them, financially and emotionally. To help show our appreciation and thank our clients & family's for their resilience during the pandemic we dropped some Good360 family and kids Empower Packs to our clients across metro Melbourne and Gippsland.
We delivered to over 50 and received many little messages of thanks. Some of the support worker’s responded with SMS saying “Thank you so much MiCare. The kids had the best morning ever unpacking the bags and seeing all the goodies inside :) ….what a treat. Very much appreciated, thank you all”.
Another SMS received “OMG that is so damn cute of you….I got home and wondered what was going on. I thought it must have been a neighbourhood care package thing. Then I saw your message. It definitely brought a smile to my face… I was like a kid in a candy shop. Thank you so much <3 :) XOX”.
In the coming weeks we will be delivering some seniors gift bags to some of our more isolated rural clients. We hope that they too will find joy in the wonderful array of donated products from Good360.
