Thanking our Volunteers

Our wonderful volunteers at East Creek Community Centre help out in all sorts of ways. Volunteers do a great job of keeping our garden beautiful at the centre. They also tutor one on one with people to help improve their literacy and numeracy skills in our Community Literacy Program. Others help out with catering, providing morning teas and luncheons. Some choose to work on reception, answering phones, meet and greet visitors coming to our community centre. Volunteers often help with our many group programs in organising activities. They include Crochet, Blanket Making, Walking, Stroke and Brain Injury Support and Craft. All of these kind people do so much, without any pay, so if we can find a way to thank them we will! Good360 provided the opportunity for some lovely Christmas Vimwood jewellery that we used as a gift to thank our wonderful volunteers for all of the hard work they have contributed to our community. The Redken dye brushes were also most useful for our craft groups. Pictured is Dorothy one of our amazing volunteers who has many duties at the centre. She is a tutor with the Community Literacy Program, organises activities in our Craft Group and also helps with Catering.
