Dressing with dignity

Jeanswest's donation through Good360 of jeans and other garments allowed Anglican Community Care to provide clothing to clients visiting the Mount Gambier Community Centre, with some pulling on a pair of new jeans for the first time in years.

Clothes were given away to people visiting for homelessness, emergency relief, financial counselling, tenancy support and adult education services.
These new and existing clients not only learnt about how they could work with our staff to improve their lives but also left the centre with some new garments.

For some people, this meant newfound pride and a sense of dignity as they updated their appearance, whether for a job interview, appointment, to be more comfortable in the changing weather conditions or just feel better about themselves.

Anglican Community Care's homelessness and community services manager Trish Spark was thrilled to open the boxes, prepare the items with her team and looked forward to the look on clients' faces when they saw what was available at no cost for those in need.

A big thank you Good360 and Jeanswest for making this possible.
