Free Nappies for Vulnerable Families

Many families in eastern regional South Australia have struggled to maintain tenancies due to reduced employment resulting from COVID-19, while others are feeling financial pressure from government payments not keeping up with the rising cost of living. AC Care's homelessness services in the Limestone Coast, Riverland and Murraylands not only help rough sleepers secure accommodation but focus on ensuring people in homes maintain their tenancies and avoid homelessness. Emergency relief provided at our community centres include fresh produce and essential grocery items donated by regional businesses, but sourcing heavily discounted nappies from Good360 allowed our organisation to help parents spread their household budgets further. Donations from businesses, such as those that contribute to Good360, allows us to provide items at no cost to people struggling financially.
Limestone Coast Homelessness Service staff member Kelly said. "Helping with costly items such as nappies allows people to have more money in their household budget to pay their rent and hopefully maintain their tenancy, rather than becoming homeless."
On the frontline of service delivery to people struggling to make ends meet, she said staff appreciated Good360 providing the opportunity to offer clients a little more, which can go a long way.
