Make-up feel better

East Creek Community Centre is a neighbourhood centre situated in Toowoomba. We have a community literacy program at the centre which helps people with their literacy and numeracy skills. We have a wide variety of people who attend this including people with a disability and English as a second language. We also have a social craft group on Fridays, that make all sorts of amazing things and everyone in the community is welcome. Both of these programs are run with the help of volunteers.

Dorothy is one of these amazing volunteers and helps out with both Community Literacy Program and Craft Group and does an amazing job. As a thank you and to help Dorothy out as she is doing it a bit tough at the moment, we put a basket of the makeup goodies we received as a thankyou gift. Dorothy is going to share it out with her children and ten grandchildren. She was very excited to receive this as she wouldn't have been able to afford it normally and loved having something she could share with her grandkids. Without Dorothy we couldn't run our craft group or help the people she gives her time to tutor for free. Thanks Dorothy, you are an amazing woman and one of our favourite people!
