March 2022
It now seems like a lifetime ago, but back in December 2021 we spent a week madly packing 50 Christmas surprise gift packs for families supported by the palliative care team at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
These packs went out to families across South Australia who needed a little bit of extra love during what is a really hard time of year.
With Good360’s help, we filled these gift packs to the brim with boxes of super cool Lego for boys and girls of all ages. From Hip Hop Robot, Unicorn DJ and Candy Mermaid Beatbox packs to bandmates and animal picture holders, we felt there was something for everyone.
We believe including Lego in our care packs gives families a wonderful activity they can do all together to create lifelong memories and it provides hours of fun for kids and those young at heart.
Whether it brightens the day of a child with a life-limiting illness or gives siblings something to play with while their parents are caring for their brother or sister, it’s amazing to see how a box of Lego can change the mood, create connection and bring smiles to sad faces.
The range of goods available through Good360 is amazing and we are grateful for this service as it helps us to continue to provide good quality items in our packs.
Each year, HAS Foundation gives Christmas gift packs as well as more than 50 bespoke care packs to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital for newly referred families to the palliative care service.
