LEGO for all

Salisbury High School supports approx. 1200 students from 30 different cultural backgrounds and from various socio-economic backgrounds in SA's Northern suburbs with more than ½ of our families receiving Government support with fees. We strive to create an inclusive and safe environment that encourages students to achieve their full potential with staff facilitating a range of student clubs during breaks and providing students with safe spaces to go. Our student clubs support student well-being and engagement and aim to improve attendance, and social interactions, and to create positive, reliable support networks within our student population.
Our LEGO club supports 15 students each week to be creative and to develop teamwork skills. The club has been functioning for 12 months using donated and second-hand bricks. The opportunity to provide students with new bricks and sets has led to increased numbers attending each week.
Being able to provide new members of our school community along with each member of the club with their own LEGO bike has led to students being more engaged with our student clubs and a range of new creative opportunities for students who are working on the development of race tracks and environments to support their characters.
This work would not be possible without the amazing support provided through Good360 and LEGO Australia. Thank you
