Build and Create

Thank you so much Good360 and LEGO, your donation has made the greatest impact on our students. We used all of the Mission LEGO sets to create writing prompts. Students follow the mission and build the set, they then use this as inspiration to write a story about the mission they have been on. We have students begging their teachers to finish the story. Students are writing more than they have ever written before. It has really inspired kids to write.
We used larger sets to establish a LEGO club at lunchtime. Students who have social issues or who struggle in the busy environment of the schoolyard come inside and work together to build the different sets. It is so popular that we have to turn kids away. The smaller sets we have kept in the office for students who need support to regulate. It gives them something to do while they are regulating and it is calming for them.
