Optus SIMs for Vulnerable People

Uniting Communities provides a multitude of services to the community. The clients who received the Optus SIMs providing 12 months of data, texts, and calls were experiencing financial hardship, some dealing with mental health, hospitalization, loneliness, isolation, homelessness, and domestic violence.
These SIMs allowed clients to be able to contact their support workers when they needed to and for some receiving a number phone number meant a fresh start for them.
