Hygiene Products for Homeless Youth

The cost of living has increased significantly in recent times. Young people experiencing homelessness and experiencing financial hardship, cannot afford the cost of items such as hygiene products. A'kin Shampoo and Conditioner have been given out to people unable to afford to purchase hygiene products. They have been fundamental in improving young people's wellbeing, physically and mentally. Without the donations and support from A'kin and Good360, many families and young people would go without.
Miranda a worker at Port Stephens Family and Neighbourhood Services, gave this set of shampoo and conditioner to a young person experiencing homelessness and living in emergency accommodation. The young person's family could not afford the cost of hygiene products on top of other essential costs. The young person's mental health and physical well-being were significantly improved by these items. They described having more confidence in everyday events such as attending school due to access to hygiene items.
