A Home away from Home

Childhood Cancer's fully self contained units are available for country and interstate families who are required to relocated to Adelaide for their child’s cancer treatment. Families may stay at the units from a couple of days to a couple of years and so the units become a ‘home away from home’.

Children with cancer have very low immunity and having the reassurance of a clean and hygienic space in these very challenging times is so incredibly important. With most of our 2020 fundraising events postponed or cancelled, this makes it challenging to raise funds to continue to provide the household items like clean bedding required to give the families this 'home away from home'.
