The March 2021 floods severely impacted the mid-north coast of NSW. Many homes were damaged, and families lost their treasured belongings. Through Mid Coast Connect’s relationship with Good360, we were able to use gift vouchers from Big W to purchase new clothing, personal items and bedding for some flood-affected families.
We were also able to use donated goods to make up hampers of cleaning products, books, toys and lunchbox items. These were distributed to families with school-aged children just in time for Mother’s Day. One recipient said, ‘Thank you so much! The hamper is so handy, and we truly appreciate the thought that’s gone into this act of kindness. Our family really appreciates the gift, and the kids have been stoked to find their surprise toys in with the practical items.’
