Many of us know how a trip to the shops for some retail therapy can lift our spirits when we are feeling a bit down. But what about those who can't afford this luxury?
When your clothing is mostly second hand, receiving a brand new item of clothing with the tags attached is extra special. The smiles and appreciation showed by those sleeping rough or financially challenged, receiving the clothes are enormously welcomed.
Volunteers from St Ioannis Community Aid went with the intention to give stylish brand new clothes to women who had experienced domestic violence; what they really gave was a boost in self-esteem! We can't show you their faces, you can imagine their elation.
