Verona's School Community Day

Each year we hold a community day where we showcase our school and student achievements. Students bring family and friends and we also invite home schools and allied health supports. At community Day we created a pop up shop with our AMAZING Good360 and Big W donations and let our community shop for free. The joy on their faces at being able to cloth their families, find gifts for loved ones, warm blankets and bedding to support with winter was just beautiful. This support for our school community goes such a long way in creating positive relationships and supports and allows us insight into the lives and true needs of our students. Many students in out of home care hadn't had the opportunity to choose clothes and items so freely and loved the independence.
