LEGO Therapy

At The Freedom Hub, we love uplifting the community and helping them build great social, personal, and life skills together.
In our most recent social outing, we engaged the community with a fun LEGO activity. Our goal was to empower the community and build social cohesion by bringing the community together, and most importantly we wanted to add some magic and smiles to their day.
Our Mother’s club consists of some incredible mums and children who participated in the LEGO workshop.
Playing with LEGO has some great therapeutic benefits. It promotes social interaction, turn-taking skills, sharing, collaborative problem-solving, and the learning of concepts. It can be used to target goals around social skills, language, and motor skills. Mums and their children of the Mother's club also received lots of amazing gifts and board games from LEGO to take home after the event to continue to build and practice their skills and enjoy with their families!
We have captured some great work and moments from the workshop and would love to share this with you all! Thank you Good360 and LEGO for your ongoing support.
We hope to continue to uplift the community in a culturally safe space with some really fun social activities in the future.
