All the 400+ home furniture deliveries that The Generous & The Grateful made last year were possible only by volunteers - thousands of heavy furniture items, fridges, washing machines found, tested, cleaned, collated and dispatched.
In December we had our first ever gratitude gathering to shine a light on the gorgeous ones sharing the muscles and minds to make an important difference to women and children, older women, refugees and young people at risk of homelessness.
There were some heartfelt speeches by the founders, beautiful donated food and drinks, and we created a choose your own thank you gift table. We let the volunteers select what they needed most either to pamper themselves or reduce their shopping list for gifts for their children, grandchildren, parents or partners. You should have seen their beaming faces.
